Experiential luxury travel company, Natural Retreats, stops at nothing to ensure their guests experience the great outdoors in the way it’s meant to be experienced. When Natural Retreats turned to Cortex Creative to consult on digital strategy and execution, we stopped at nothing to design and develop solutions that ensured this same experience was delivered through their digital mediums as well.

The Natural Retreats brand runs a proprietary booking engine and CMS. Cortex created a streamlined checkout process that integrated with their existing booking engine, resulting in increased conversions and an improved customer service experience. Cortex was also asked to design and develop a scalable solution for brands underneath the Natural Retreats umbrella, including sierravacations.com. The resulting solution is an updated template site that can be easily replicated as the company brings on new brands and links directly to the Natural Retreats database to pull information as needed.

Another challenge was getting eyeballs to the site so that they could give the new checkout system a try. We were tasked with the creation and implementation of large scale PPC campaigns to drive qualified traffic. By analyzing user data we were able to target qualified traffic to the site thus creating conversions. Impressions increased +143.93% with largest increases generated by Lake Toxaway (+2,057.52%). Clicks increased +176.29% and CTR increased +13.27%.
